The University Hospital Frankfurt is centrally located on the banks of the Main River. It can be easily reached using public transportation and it has good access to the main roads. The hospital can be reached within a reasonable amount of time from outside the city (e.g. the airport) or when traveling within the city. 

You can get to the hospital using public transportation or by car.

Using public transportation:

The nearest railway stations servicing suburban, underground and long-distance trains are the Main Station and Südbahnhof (Frankfurt South Station). 
From there, take the streetcar

• from the Main Station, Lines 12 or 21
• from Südbahnhof (Frankfurt South Station), Line 15

To reach the Main Building, get off at the station "Universitätsklinikum" (University Hospital).

Get off at the next station "Heinrich-Hoffmann-Straße/Blutspendedienst" to reach the following departments:

• Neurology, Neurooncology and Neurosurgery (Building 95)
• Infectiology (Building 68)
• Psychiatry (Heinrich-Hoffmann-Str. 10)
• Orthopedics (Marienburgstr. 3)

Directions by car:

• from the A3
  Take the B34/44 and drive towards Südkreuz Frankfurt in the direction of the city center. At the first large traffic circle follow the signs Niederrad/Rennbahn/Uniklinik.
• from the A5
  Exit at Frankfurt-Niederrad/Uniklinik and follow the signs in the direction of Niederrad/Uniklinik.

There are disabled parking spaces in front of the main entrance at Theodor-Stern-Kai 7.

Parking spaces on hospital grounds are very limited. Ongoing construction work also imposes parking restrictions. Please allow sufficient time to find a parking space. All parking spaces are subject to charges. The parking fees are to be paid at the electronic pay station before retrieving your car. More parking spaces are available in the parking garage Sandhofstraße located behind the blood donation center.

Using public transportation:

VGF bus lines 60, 72 and 73 travel to the Nordwest Hospital.

Traveling from the city center:

• Take the underground line U1 to Nordwestzentrum and continue your journey by taking bus line 60 traveling in the direction of Rödelheim Bhf and get off at Krankenhaus Nordwest.
• Take the underground line U7 to the final stop Heerstraße and continue your journey by taking bus line 60 traveling in the direction of Heddernheim to Krankenhaus Nordwest.
• Take the underground line U6 to Hausen terminal station and from there continue your journey by taking bus line 72 or 73 to Gräbestraße/Pflegeheim. From here it is approximately a 5 minute walk to Nordwest Hospital.

Directions by car:

• A66 from Wiesbaden
  At the Eschborner Dreieck follow signs to Miquelallee. Take the exit Ludwig-Landmann-Str. / Praunheim and follow signs to Krankenhaus Nordwest (Nordwest Hospital).
• A661 from Bad Homburg or Egelsbach
  Take the Heddernheim exit and follow signs to Nordwestzentrum and then to Krankenhaus Nordwest (Nordwest Hospital).
• A5 from Darmstadt or Kassel
  At the Nordwestkreuz drive towards Miquelallee. Take the exit Ludwig-Landmann-Str. / Praunheim and follow signs to Krankenhaus Nordwest (Nordwest Hospital).

Using public transportation:
 
From the Marburg main station, take bus line 7 to Universitätsklinikum auf den Lahnbergen (University Hospital on at Campus Lahnbergen). Buses depart from bus platform D1 (direction south).

From Südbahnhof (South Station) take the bus line 7(direction north).
As an alternative to bus line 7, you can also use bus line MR75 from Monday to Saturday.

Directions by car:

• A45 coming from the north
  Exit the A45 at Dillenburg and continue on the B277 towards Herborn/Gladenbach/Marburg. Drive on following the signs towards Gladenbach/Marburg. In Marburg, directly after the town sign of Marburg, turn right at the first traffic light in the direction of MR-Cappel, Polizei. Keep straight and at the fourth traffic light keep left driving towards Uni-Lahnberge, Kirchhain. After approximately 3 km, turn left towards Uni-Lahnberge, Kirchhain. Follow the signs to Uni-Lahnberge, Klinikum. At the third turn mark, turn left in the direction of Uni-Klinikum (main entrance).
• A7 coming from the north
  Exit the A7 at Homberg (Efze) and continue on the B323 towards Homberg (Efze) and then on the B254 towards Schwalmstadt. Follow the signs to Stadtallendorf (B454) and then to Marburg (B62 / B3). Exit the B3 at Marburg-Wehrda. At the end of the exit road, turn right towards MR-Innenstadt. At the first traffic light turn left towards Uni-Lahnberge. Drive uphill for approximately 3 km and then turn right into the second street towards Uni-Klinikum (main entrance).
• A5 coming from the south
  At the Gambacher Kreuz interchange, take the A45 in the direction of Gießen/Dortmund. At the Gießener Südkreuz, take the A485 in the direction of Gießen/Marburg. Continuing following the A485 in the direction of Marburg, which will eventually turn into the B3. Exit the B3 at Marburg-Süd. At the end of the exit road, turn left towards Polizei, Landratsamt, Cappel. At the second traffic light, turn left towards Uni-Lahnberge, Kirchhain. After approximately 3 km, turn left again towards Uni-Lahnberge, Kirchhain. Follow the signs to Uni-Lahnberge, Klinikum. At the third turn mark, turn left in the direction of Uni-Klinikum (main entrance).
